This facility provides acute rehabilitation services in an inpatient setting for patients who have been discharged from the hospital, but could benefit from additional physical, occupational, or speech therapy. Individuals who might be eligible for admission to Waccamaw Rehabilitation Center include patients recovering from a stroke, major joint replacement, limb amputation or complex orthopedic procedures.

There are 43 inpatient rehabilitation beds.  Rooms feature beds that convert to recliners for easy patient movement, private bathrooms and transitional areas that assist rehabilitation patients in their move from hospital to home. The floor also features spacious family waiting areas located on the end of each wing.

Additional therapy is provided in the fully-equipped therapy area, which also includes an adaptive kitchen designed to help reacquaint patients with activities of daily living.
