The annual Lights of Love campaign, a popular holiday fundraiser sponsored by Georgetown Hospital System’s Auxiliary, is held in early November throughout the holidays. Each twinkling light on holiday trees located at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital represents a donation made in honor or memory of a loved one. The Auxiliary donates Lights of Love proceeds to the Auxiliary Medical Scholarship Program, which assists local candidates in pursuing a medical career.
The Lights of Love campaign allows a memorable way for family and friends to honor or memorialize loved ones through donations to Georgetown Hospital System’s Auxiliary. For a minimum tax-deductible gift of $5.00, campaign volunteers will send a special card notifying the recipient or family of the gift. The name of each person honored or memorialized is listed on the online Lights of Love Remembrance Book and also displayed in a special book located in the lobbies of Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital from mid December through the end of January.
