Full recovery from orthopedic injuries, surgery or disease often involves a course of physical therapy or other forms of rehabilitation such as occupational or speech therapy. Georgetown Hospital System offers a complete family of rehabilitation services. NextStep Rehabilitation Services offers adult outpatient physical, speech and occupational therapy at five sites conveniently located throughout Georgetown County. NextStep Rehabilitation Services are offered for adults at Azalea Lakes Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, Waccamaw Medical Park in Murrells Inlet, Andrews Medical Center in Andrews, HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness in Pawleys Island and in Georgetown on Church Street, about 2 miles north of the Georgetown Memorial Hospital campus.

Unique to Georgetown Hospital System’s NextStep Rehabilitation Services is a Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation program. Pediatric patients receive outpatient speech, occupational and physical therapy services at facilities located in Georgetown and Azalea Lakes Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. These facilities are equipped to serve the unique needs of children, younger than 14 and are the only pediatric rehabilitation programs offered in Horry, Georgetown and surrounding counties.
