Diagnostic images such as x-rays, MRI and CT scans may be utilized to look inside your body and evaluate the state of bones, joints, and tissue. Therapists may be involved to assess strength, flexibility, range of motion, and other measures. Laboratory tests may be ordered to identify the presence and extent of disease on bones or tissue. Computer Assisted Surgery

An imageless computer-assisted system is being used by surgeons in some hip and knee replacement procedures at Georgetown Hospital System’s Waccamaw Community Hospital.
